Heritage mentions that the MH Flash 9.6 sold for $273,000 dollars. Who paid that much and does anyone think they overpaid?

 

...not to question someone elses purchase ( although I have no choice to answer this question ), but I was always suprised at the $273k paid for this Flash book....mainly because it is a Flash book ( and yes, I understand it's the MH and it's 9.6 ).

 

The only way I personally could justify that kinda money for a single comic book, it would have to be an Action 1, Tec 27 or 9.6 AF15 ( if there is such a thing ).

Considering that Jay Parino is reported to have paid $350K for the book, $273K seems like a bargain! It'd be hilarious if the buyer turned out to be Daniel Kramer. It'd be like he got paid $77K to rent it to JP for a year or so.

There is such a thing, but considering that the price of a 9.4 AF 15 seems to be over $200K these days, I seriously doubt you could touch the 9.6 copy for $275K (even assuming the owner was willing to sell, which he's not).

4 days to go. I'm tracking about 15 books, but the Action 30 is the only one I'm REALLY serious about.

 

that is one sweet looking book, white pages and very clean. don't worry about me Jeff, I won't be any competition for you on this one, as I've got my eye on another book. :shy:

I am tracking over 40 lots but not sure if I will bid on any !

 

For the record, here are definite ones I am tracking but won't bid on

 

Adventure 79 - if you gotta ask, go post in General (just kidding!), I love the cover, but not super high on my want list

All Star #1, nice but again not too high on the want list + page quality

Arrow #1, love the cover, but too low of a grade + page quality

Batman #24, I have a nice copy but not close to this one but again, not high on the list

Detective #31, my wife would spot that much missing from the account and our garden shed is not too comfortable to live in

Detective #140, missing pieces on the edge are a deal killer.

Flash #1, see Detective 31 for reason why

Sensation #1, love the book, but $5k+ ...

Superman 2, 8, 15, 25, Nice but looks like bottom fedding on low prices won't be an option.

Sprang artwork, LOVE it but can't do $3500+ for it.

 

As for what I am watching ...
