Bought on the 'bay as a 4-4.5. Am I crazy to think that this is really lower? I need someone to back me up before I request to return it.

You're not crazy.... Looks like there's lots of rubbing wear and heavy spine wear that would drop it below 4.0, and 4.5 would really be pushing it. I'd guess 3.0 tops.

The spine cracks are a little more severe than I'd allow on a straight VG . . . but it is otherwise clean, though worn . . . 3.5

3.0 tops. But do to the rarity of this issue I would keep it and request money back to compensate for the lower grade. This is a tuff book to find in any grade.

I think technically, he can call it a 4.0, although I wouldn't do that personally, the marker bothers me as well as the number of spine lines...(3.0 to 3.5)...however, that is a really tough book to find...and unless you paid over guide for a 4.0, it's really a treasure. You might not find another copy.

You know this range of 2.5-4.5 gets hard to distinguish, thus my request to confirm my feelings on this one. There's a good amount of wear and spine breaks for a 4.5 in my opinion. I've requested a refund from the seller. We'll see.
