Superman 1940-41 Krypto Ray Gun films - question...

Here's what I've got...

So, I'm pretty sure we're looking at four of the original seven 16MM films

from the 1940-41 Superman Krypto Ray Gun...

...question...

What is the little box that I have?

It doesn't look like anything from the Krypto Ray Gun set,

but the top and bottom edges of the box look like edges of film.

Is it part of this set? Was it possible to send away for the films separately?

(Were there additional films beyond the original seven with the Ray Gun set?)

Thanks for your help... :foryou:

Those were available as seperate films and there was a little plastic viewer for them. I believe there were six of them and each film came in its own box (one of which you pictured). I am not sure those are the same films that came with the Krypto Ray Gun. I think the KRG films are smaller.

What an era to grow up in! I know kids today have XBox 360's and cell phones that can make toast.

But to be a kid back then and have toys like this when there was next to nothing else must have been a blast. A Toy Museum just opened recently downtown.. I think I will go take a look with Ellen today.
