Now . . . Grade My "B" Copy

I marked it at 8.0 from the corner defect,4spine stresses and what looks like a thumb crease on the outer FC. But it is just a scan book could be much sweeter in hand!

(Hey Divad...I know you're a music fan...are you a PJ Harvey fan by any chance? Saw her at the Orpheum Monday nite downtown LA...unbelievably fantastic one-woman show...she played about 10 instruments including piano for the first time...her last guitar she used was a fire-engine red Gibson of at present unknown vintage (I'll have to look it up)...but very cool and a GREAT SHOW! Her only US show along with NY last week...) Tom

That actually could get a 9.2.......I bet you can barely see the two SC in hand.I believe I missed them last night.I'm sure the red wine had nothing to with it though.............BH...............

Take a look at the right edge directly to the right of the word "Behold". There's a slight thumb crease there, but it also looks like a sliver of color is missing along the edge (?), unless it's part of the artwork. Anything to worry about?

As usual, the grading of this book will be subject to an accounting of the minor defects, together with an inspection and evaluation of any "hidden defects"

I think it's a 9.2....I think that URFC and TE keep it from a higher grade, not knock it any lower........

I've had a few Silver Age X-Men comics that had a few dings down the spine and nabbed an 8.0. I'd say giving the book a 9.0 / 8.5 would be being conservative.
