Anywhere I can go to find out every book a specific character has been in?

For example, I would like to know every comic book Magneto has ever appeared in.

I know he has been in a ton of X-books, a few Avengers, FF, etc, but I am looking for a list of every book that the character has ever appeared in. Any ideas on where I can find this information out?

I think the best way to find this out would be to figure out what month and year the first appearance of Mageneto was - it's some low numbered X-men from the mid/late-1960s. Start there, and then buy every freaking Marvel from that time forward. It would be safest to just get them all. I know it's unlikely there is a Magneto appearance in Fraggle Rock, but you never know....You've got to hit all the company crossovers too, just to be thorough.

 

So then, when you find books with Mangeto in them, add them to the list. Otherwise, they hit the shredder.

 

The upside of this is the next time someone asks this question, I will be able to simply answer:

The chronology site can be a pain in the sometimes in figuring out what title an abbreviation stands for. A lot of times it will be a limited series I never knew existed or something, so you have to look it up on the key available on the site.
