I won't be able to go, but if others are, they should definitely try! Convention is free, but the admission to museum is $8.

Come to our greatest show ever:

Montclair Art Museum Comicon - November 4, 2007!

Nov. 4, Montclair Art Museum Comic Book Convention. Montclair Art Museum, 3 South Mountain Ave, Montclair, NJ 07042 (corne of Bloomfield Ave). Museum admission is $8 ($6 for seniors or students with ID, free to children under 12). There is no additional charge to attend the convention. Hours are 10-4. Workshops included with admission.

This show is being held in conjunction with four major exhibitions at the museum:

"Reflecting Culture: The Evolution of American Comic Heroes." Come feast your eyes on an amazing display of comics from the Golden Age to present, including Action #1, Detective #27 and Captain America #1, along with incredible original art!

"Comic Book Legends: Joe, Andy and Adam Kubert" -- featuring a stunning array of art from the family's private collection.

"Greg Hildebrandt: Golden and Silver Age of Superheroes" -- amazing murals featuring iconic DC and Marvel heroes.

"Dulce Pinzon: The Real Story of Superheroes" -- Photo display

(The exhibits run through January-the con is one day only)

There will be hundreds of thousands of comic books for sale, from bargain "readers" to investment grade CGC's. A "No Minimum Bid" auction will held at 1:00. Made to the show. 15 dealers, tightly packed, lots of back issues and other stuff. Cool stuff up for auction. The museum was awesome!! Im so glad i was able to run faster than the marathon runners and make it to the show. Saw some books in that museum that were really cool but more importantly gave a history of every comic on display. The original art from the 40's was really cool too. Great show, I hope they do it again.
