Well, we'd all prefer a copy without the production defect but it's a pretty common defect for the book, and consequently, more than likely allowable in 9.6.

 

As you can see, both of my ratty-azz copies have it to some degree

Interesting! I guess it makes sense that some production flaws affect multiple copies, depending on what type of flaws they are. But I wasn't aware that that gives a pass on the grading...
