Then I could have stopped myself from buying all this firewood - and Luckily I got the Ka-Zar mags too - maybe they're still worth something To top off my misguidedress I even bought some Conan art I also just bought some old prints Hide contents Maybe it's just me, but I've read tons of comics and, by Mitra, none were better than the good ol' Conan books and mags I'll probably use it all for my Viking funeral fantastic collection! Ignore FT88's comments. The one character I have always been able to rely on for great reading is Conan. Every other comic or magazine character has some lame story arc that did not grab me. Agree 100% - Conan is usually very reliable for a good read. I recently completed a 2nd raw run (low grade ) and am re-reading the series from the beginning. If you haven't read them recently, you should do so - not many series can match these stories. Ken Aldred, nepatkm, Rune and 1 other

I think what makes Conan successful is that he is always the same character: he is consistent whether he is a youth, a grown man, a King or involved in something more fantastic like being transported to the future and dueling Captain America. I picked up the trades to read. Edited June 5, 2018 by Artboy99 Jordysnordy, ADAMANTIUM, Ken Aldred and 2 others

I picked up the trades to read. + 1 I have the 1st 10 Dark Horse trades but I don't like the coloring in them so the person in me decided to pick up a 2nd run to read. Something about holding and smelling an old comic as opposed to a trade. For about $350.00 I picked up every Conan the Barbarian, King Conan, all the annuals plus most of the Red Sonja and King Kull books. When my ASM run is complete I will be starting a Conan run - I will try and do 1-50 in 9.8 nepatkm, Ken Aldred, picon3 and 1 other

Some great writing on the original Marvel series by Roy Thomas of course and then later writers including one of my favorites J.M. DeMatteis (#118-130)(1981-1982).
