Lets see how you guys do with this on. Book looks way better scanned than in hand. Hidden defects are:

 

Thick stress creasing on the cover due to the cover material

Cover wear on the front and back cover, more on the back

I'd think around 8.5 from the scans, but from your description I guess there's a fair amount of NCB spine stress and light "rumpling". Around 7.0/7.5 then?

Jon was the closest. I have the book graded at a 7.0... Its amazing how many defects cannot be seen in the scan

I just went by the scan, but I know you said it was worse. There is just no way to tell. :shrug:
