Anyone have a membership the online art auction databases

Often using google to find past sales of illustration artists I get sent to askart or artnet which keep a record of all past auction sales but charge a monthy fee. Anyone here sign up for such a service? Is it worth it, ever worth or splitting with a couple of other collectors?

I have subscriptions to askart and artnet as I am a freak for historical art prices. They pretty much only tap into Heritage for comic and strip art but it is invaluable for "fine" art.
