Mike Mignola first started working in comics as a writer and scripter for later issues of a comic called Hellboy. He jumped in a time machine and proceeded to re imagine the comic landscape by doing various covers for random comics both mainstream and oterwise. He eventually found himself drawing a comic called Hellboy: The Island #2 after which he successfully completed his run on said title by knocking out #1. He continued backwards though time creating a wonderful topography of comic history with such hits as Hellboy: The Conqueror Worm and Hellboy: The Seed of Destruction. He did cover work for Classic X-Men and even the fabled Justice League Europe ( we will all miss you), His style soon started to mimic other contemporaries of the time and he reverse shriveled into a black unknown. BUT, in those formative years he drew a little cover for an unknown comic featuring a somewhat beloved character. Here goes.
