1st Doom Patrol issues on ebay - all CGC NM+ 9.6 - My Greatest Adventure

I am listed several books this week, including:

 

* A small but great run of My Greatest Adventure that includes the earliest

appearances of the Doom Patrol.

** You know, the team of super freaks led by a wheel chair bound professor, that were not very welcome by the "normal" public.... No - not the X-Men..... Marvel copied the X-Men from the Doom Patrol in a near identical formula and published their version 3 months later.

For you historians, X-Men #1 hit the stands the same month as My Greatest Adventure #82, which was September of 1963.

 

Talk about a bold rip off - notice that DC billed their team as "The World's Strangest Heroes"

So what did Marvel bill the X-Men as? Well, "The Strangest Super-Heroes Of All!" of course

 

Anyway, these are breathtaking beauties.

All CGC NM+ 9.6 and all from the Pacific Coast pedigree collection.

All have perfect centering and two of them are candidates for a 9.8 grade

 

I also have listed many other books today on ebay

* Mission Impossible (Rare Dell 1st series) - all NM with two at 9.4, Highest Grade

* Dobie Gillis #1 - Don't laugh, as this is an Impossible DC #1 from 1960 - Super Rare

* The 1st Daffy Duck comic book

* A very nice copy of Flash #108 - This is a scarce one

* A really cool Tom Corbett - Great Sci Fi cover and Highest grade

* And some other great books - Original art too!

Great to do biz with you again

I am going to do more on ebay this year and let go of some really great items.

They are impossible to replace and I wanted to finish the runs but perhaps I can do

that in the future.

I am concentrating on my other website and that is the only reason I am letting these books go.
