Here's how you do the deal:

 

Buy real-looking costume necklaces and rings, adorned with cubic zirconium, and then have you and a friend sent them back and forth XPressPost, marked as "gold and diamond rings, pendants, etc.", insured for a few thousand.

 

It should only take a few times for someone to take the bait and you can cash in.
