PGM Hulk Annual #7 - Need help

Here's one I bought on Sunday at a small show. I used to own this back in the early 80's but got rid of it in the mid-80's during college. The dealer had a few of these from a warehouse find. It's in great shape and the edges are crisp. Beautifully centered.

 

Where I wonder is the spine. The binding method on these leaves a bit of a rough spot with the staples underneath. There are also 3 slight creases which I also wonder if it's a production issue and not counting against the grade.

 

What do you think? Would it be high enough to slab? (Heck it might not be worth it. ) But I loved the Byrne art and Sentinels appearance.

That staple issue on these books comes up now and again, as I remember it shouldnt affect the grade. Someone else could weigh in as well.

A couple spine ticks is all I see..9.4

Stape crinkle is production related and not uncommon amonng this particular era of squarebounds

I was thinking at least 9.4 because I also believe that the staple & spine issues are production related. But having extra input helps.

Most of the issues seen with the spine are production related so CGC most likely will not hammer you.
