Well I just made payment on my grail book and I should :wishluck: have it by the end of the week if all goes well.

It's an AF 15 CGC 6.0 PLOD :headbang:

I couldn't resist because it looks so damn good. :cloud9:

This is a pic from the auction...I can't wait to scan it myself :insane:

Also I finally paid 4 figures for a book :acclaim:

Looks very nice indeed...what level of resto did the PLOD give?

now that somebody asked...

Didn't mean to rain on Count's parade.

Right and top edge look suspect, tho'. :P

yeah, but how ever he did it did a damn good job.

Extensive (P)

Color touch, pieces added, tear seals, cover cleaned, reinforced, re-glossed.

I'm surprised that it graded that low even for a PLOD. I called for the notes and asides from a few FC mid bends a tiny LRBC water stain it's seems like a very solid book.

No trimming at all and the staples are great.

Either way I am very...um....STOKED... lol

Because CGC grades based on the resto work done. It might appear to be a higher grade outside , but stuff like tear seals, etc.. are visible to them and are taken into account when grading

Here is the description from the seller as it was on the auction.

This book is MUCH BETTER than its grade. It was purchased (before grading) at the 2006 San Diego Comic Con PROFESSIONALLY RESTORED.

This book has NO creases, tears or markings and is NOT Trimmed. The spine is perfect and the binding is tight. I've seen 7.5 grades that do not look as good as this book, and many dealers at the Comic Con viewed it as a "VERY FINE"

Anyone of those "dealers" here in this forum
