WWLA On-Site Submission Pics

Went to WWLA Friday and Saturday and turned in some books to be graded. I was pretty pleased with the results. There always seems to be a few pleasant surprises, a disappointment, and some that are exactly as expected.

 

Forgive the amateur camera shots; I need to purchase a new scanner. And, yes, that is my reflection in some of the pics.

This one I thought would be a 9.8W and it was. Bought this from HighGrade Comics as a 9.8 and it came back just that....

This is my childhood copy. Bought it off of a spinner rack at George's Liquor Store in Mt. Shasta City, CA. Managed to keep it in pretty good shape.

This was also originally mine. Bought it at a comic book store in a Medford, Oregon mall right when it came out. When is the last time you saw a comic book store in a mall?

This one was bought raw from JohnnyG on these boards. He had it as a 9.4 (possible 9.6) and I thought it was a solid 9.4. This was one of the pleasant surprises. Thanks Johnny!

This one was also bought at the Oregon comic book store when it first came out. Wish I could remember the name of that store.

Had this one pegged as a probable 9.6 with a shot at 9.8.

This was the only disappointment. Thought this had a real shot at 9.8 (and a 9.6 at least) but nope. Need to call and get the grader notes on it.

 

Might be something I missed on the interior.

One of my favorite Green Goblin Covers. Picked this one up raw at my LCS for about 15 dollars. Thought it might come back 9.4....one of the pleasant surprises.

Bought this one raw off of the boards not too long ago. 9.4 as advertised. This is a hard issue to find white pages on.

Bought the next two Walking Dead issues raw off of Ebay. Thought they both had a shot at 9.6.
