I am guessing it will pass the 20k mark but how much above that I have no idea

i believe that the owner (or an owner) had that piece for sale at 20k on his CAF gallery not too long ago

Correct. Asking price was 20K, which means reserve must be less. Very nice splash, though, from one of the best issues in the early Cockrum run.

The only other issue where Dave inked himself was GS #1.

I love his GS #1 & #100 pages.

 

Dave's Avengers GS #2 pages that he inked himself sell for more then his GS #3 pages.

Giant Size 2 is one of the most memorable Avengers stories ever. I think that is the reason for the premium in prices

Well, that is an easy call. The 100 splash should do 12 to 16k. The xmen 99 cover is a classic! Wish I needed two of Cockrum's xmen covers because that one is a favorite...
