2001 Nights

I don't have a scan of any of the books, but did anyone read the Viz series that came out in '91, 2001 Nights? It's a translated reprint of Yukinobu Hoshino's manga series.

 

I bought them back then, read them, and for the life of me couldn't get any of my superhero collecting friends to try them out. With the death of Arthur C. Clarke recently, I have been wanting more hard sci-fi stuff so I dug them out and started reading them for the first time since back then. Man, this is some really good stuff. I remembered them being good, but I don't think I realized how good.

This was a great series. I read it when it came out, but I sold it a couple of years ago, to make room in my collection.
