Just mailed my first batch to CGC...

Well, after over a year of being back in collecting, I finally broke down and joined the collector's society (can't beat those three free Expresses...) and mailed my first books off to CGC...

 

Yes, I've popped my CGC cherry!

 

The books?

Conan 1 (the book I posted here...I'd say between 7.0 and 7.5)

Conan 17 (8.5 to 9.0)

Journey Into Mystery 98 (first appearence of the Cobra with a double cover...first cover I'm thinking 7.5, but the second is still glossy...9.0)

I'll let everyone know the grades!

Is a Conan #17 that comes back CGC 9.0 really worth a $33 grading fee?

Yeah..I have a short box of comics at my apartment. All my long ones are at my parents house (with much of my good stuff). The JIM was a no-brainer as was the Conan 1. Basically, I just closed my eyes and pulled....
