C.C. Beck Shazam 1

I picked this up at a show a few weeks back. I noticed it had C.C. Beck on the front and

12/12 on the back. I tried researching this signature and it looks like the real deal.

Does anybody know if he ever signed and numbered it like this?

I have seen some signed by C.C. Beck including a #1. A dealer at one of the MCBA shows offered to sell them to me a few years ago. I didn't check the backs however.

I obtained Mr. Beck's autograph at a comic book convention here in Tampa around 1973 or 1974. He signed mine on the bottom. Nothing on the back.

Yours looks like the twelth of a series of twelve that he signed.

Yes, you are correct.

Upon closer examination, it was written with a different pen with a finer point.

I meant that it was unlikely Mr. Beck wrote the date he autographed it.
