It would also be a big kick in the nuts to me for the 6.0 I just sold for $8500 2 months ago.

:frustrated:

Still, I think wall street is getting involved and that is driving the prices to insane levels. I think it'll finish between $27,500 and $31,000 which is where I was thinking since the start of this thread.

If that happened, that would be an $8,000 jump in the value of a 7.0 in one month.

I think the mania of having all the ASM high grades in this auction

have really put the blood in the water to cause this shark frenzy!

I see it topping 35k, but this will be a lone soldier

I don't clearly think this book will see these heights

for quite awhile after it's all said and done.

The big boys are here and they are BIDDING THE BIG LOOT!

All dreamers and wanna-be's can and only watch this heavyweight slugfest!

Somebody forgot to tell them there is a recession on doh!

one thing you can always count on is that people are funny with money -

especially those that have a great deal more than the average person.

The wealthy ARE different.

I guess I'll never own a AF 15 :P

I just had sort of a perverse thought, although not as outlandish perhaps as we might think...you know how you can buy those little necklaces and jewel-boxes etc. at Catholic Liturgical Stores that purpose that the little sliver of wood in the box is an authentic piece of the cross that Jesus was crucified on...

Well, transfer that thought to the not to distant future whereby "shards" of AF 15 (or Action 1 or whatever) for that matter are being sold for $10-20 dollars apiece...it's not like we haven't seen the like recently even here on the boards...whereby it could be more profitable to carve up an AF 15 and sell the pieces...a fairly dark Kafkaesque view of the future but certainly no longer a stretch of an idea... :insane::o

Metamorphisis and the Penal Colony :cloud9: Great stories by the way.

Metamorphisis, what a nightmare of a story.

The one thing I am hoping is that I can finish my ASM CGC Collection before

this type of High Price madness spreads to the other books...

Just 12 More Left! (ASM 1, 3, 4, 5, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18, 40)

:wishluck:

Out of those, I would work on ASM 1 first as that could be the next book to go through the roof. I have been looking at that book as a substitute since AF 15 is spiking.

I think you are right, but only because many people that currently buy it are ignorant.

ASM 1 has been over bloated for years because people that don't know comics

buy it believing they are getting the first appearance of spider-man but only getting

the first Amazing, Chameleon, J. Jonah Jameson, Daily Bugle and John Jameson.

I might pick it up after I get my list down to single digits.

It's just that I want it in CGC 6.5 minimum and 6-7k is hard to save.

:P

Well with over two weeks to go it is already over $25,000

It seemed to of stalled on this number...

I guess people are waiting til the end

so that thrill bidding doesn't take over

and create a totally preposterous price.

I wonder what JC's take is on this?

Another clear sign of the coming "comic apocalypse"?

hm

Actually. I think it's just a sign of The Apocalypse. It was written that heathens would spend ungodly sums of money on false idols encased in demon glass that could not be read while squatting.
