Desert Wind Comics will be in Philadelphia for Wizard World. Unfortunately I have been really sick for the last two weeks, but I am back in the saddle again. If anyone wants to send us books, we have to receive them by no later then Friday, May 23rd. E-mail me at desertwindcomics@hotmail.com.

i was wondering if any of you are going to the Phillty show, and if so, could hook up with me Friday to witness 5 signings. Most likely 3 at the Aspen Booth, 1 at the booth for Zenescope, and 1 at the Top Cow Booth.

I am willing to wait in line myself, and call someone by cell when I get close to the signature, or hand off the books that morning to someone at the show to get the signings. I will only have 5 books, and either 2 or 3 artists depending on which exclusives I can get. Since I got a VIP pass, I shold be able to get a few by 12:00 and will be ready to get them signed anytime after that Friday morning.

Thanks

Usually people who are not able to attend a show make arrangements in advance with Witnesses who are accepting books to take to the show and get them signed and submitted.

If you are attending the show, you can also make arrangements in advance with a specific Witness or you can just come to the CGC booth and visit the Signature Series submission table and we work it out for you.

You have two options at the show:

1) you drop your books off with an independant, approved Witness or directly to CGC. Then they or we do all of the work obtaining the autographs on your behalf

or

2) you line up and let the Witness or CGC know when you get close to the front of the line and a Witness will come over

Not sure if Wizard is doing their SS voucher program at the show this year.

lazarus,

speaking as a witness and not on behalf of CGC...

Get to the booth as early as you can, have the books ready to go with who you want on them. Obviously some creators are going to be tougher to get than others, but CGC and the witnesses attending do a great job of trying to get everything done.

If you go through CGC direct, you do not need a voucher in order to get your book signed for signature series.

If CGC can't get a signature, you get your book back at the end of the show or when you are leaving.

Kev, change any of that if I messed up lol

Looks good. It's an on-site grading show, so there are two pricing tiers:

- 1 - Books go back to Florida for grading and are mailed back (SS moderns $27 + return shipping, $5 for additional autographs unless the creators are sitting together)

- 2 - On-Site grading - moderns only - books must be signed before Saturday night for return on Sunday. (Sorry, there is generally no same-day service for SS) (SS moderns $34, $5 for additional autographs unless the creators are sitting together)

If the books don't get signed, they are given back to you unless you specify you want them graded anyway (for the modern blue universal label, cost is less).

Any books that are pre-1975 - SS cost is $5 above the tier price (economy $34, standard $54, express $84, etc.) + return shipping.

-----

The Wizard SS vouchers offer you "front of the line" service.

Which means they tell you to meet their SS Witness at a certain time and they will walk you to the front of the creator's autograph line where you get to meet the creator and get the book signed yourself. A Wizard SS Witness will then walk you back to the CGC booth where the above prices are then applied.

In some cases it is the only way to guarantee specific hard-to-get creators sign your books for SS.
