Doug Beekman Painting and Bob Larkin Benefit!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I received the Doug Beekman

painting 'spearmen of arn' today. I believe all parties are now

satisfied with the transaction. And, I want to thank Mark Corrinet

for stepping in and helping to get the deal finished even though he

was not involved in it and does not represent Doug, he went above and

beyond to bring this deal to a satisfactory close; and to Doug for

his skill and talent and for getting the piece out to me as well as

his excellent packaging and express mail shipping.

 

I also want to thank the comic art collecting community out front and

behind the scenes for helping to resolve this matter. It's a real eye

opener to re-discover what a great group of people this is!

 

I also am happy to announce the this painting will now be auctioned

via Ebay and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Bob Larkin. I

know he is unrelated to this deal, but his wife has gone through some

incredibly hard cancer surgeries lately and this has undoubtedly

proved to be a real emotional and financial hardship on Bob and his

family. I can think of no better way to resolve this deal for me than

to turn it into a positive. I hope it helps in some small way with

the financial strains this must be putting him through. So please bid

early and bid often; you are not only helping a fine artist but

getting a great painting to boot!
