I think I know the answer to this, but who has more WD #1s Jim or Jeff hm

Jerome

My pic doesn't include #1's on there way to CGC or on there way to me. but it's nice to have my name included with the greatness that is Branget. I still think he has more though.

Not going to lie but I'm pretty proud of this picture. I abandoned all collecting of Golden Age and Silver Age to focus exclusively on everything WD this past April. I've put way to many miles on my car, searching and chasing, I've spent way to many late nights looking at EBay, memorizing GPA and the like. I have bought, and sold and traded more in these last five months than my entire lifetime combined but I have enjoyed every last second of it. Collecting WD has been the most self satisfying thing I have collected since I was in my teens. I hope this feeling last for a long time to come. :wishluck:

I knew I needed a Moore piece to give my collection proper representation and was so fine with it being this beauty...

But when I saw that somehow, someway this piece was available, I just knew I had to get to it before the Nowell Bros did :screwy:

Meeting Tony and Kara This past weekend was a thrill. They were down to earth, humble, nice people that were most generous and genuinely appeared to care. Now where's JJ, we need to discuss that 19 cover.

Hey Jim,

I'm in negotiations via Kara for a piece in that story arc - would you be willing to PM me a ball park figure for the TM OA?.

Cheers.

I'm waiting for a CA piece of OA that my kids were good enough to buy for fathers day - nowhere near as good as TM (sorry Charlie) but stoked all the same.

Your collection is looking fantastic mate - keep the pics coming, we all want to see it!

Just had to share this with you guys. My first GEM Mint 10.0 ever from CGC. Could this be the only TWD #36 10.0?

Any idea of the value if I do sell it.

Congrats! And yes, you're the one and only with a 10.0 #36 in the census (worship)

I also just noticed there are two 10.0 #100 regular covers in the census as of 8/6, do these belong to anyone here?

There isn't much negotiation with TM artwork direct -- its the price and that's pretty much it. I think I was able to get her down literally a few bucks if I bought two, which were a total of xx...

Jim does seem like he has a bit more of an in with them? Jim, care to share? :)

I asked about the first page Jim bought - I think I was quoted xxxxx. This was about a year ago...

edit: just realized it might not be so nice to advertise what it cost. Jim if you give OK I will say what my quoted price was.

I don't think I have an "in" with them but it wouldn't suck if I did. Kara and Tony were just really great people.

As for the price, you can write what you were quoted...I just noticed you wrote five x's, if that's what you were quoted than perhaps I do have an "in" . :baiting:

Quoted $6500 for the alley scene page. I have to check my emails but I am about 99.9% sure.

They are nice - I agree - I spent a while talking about Tony's art a few NYCC's ago...like I said - I'm just bitter at the prices..
