I have no idea who the artist is but I think this might be the nicest one I have seen so far. :cloud9:

This is the only cover of WD #100 that actually look good. (thumbs u

All 6 7 or 8 whatever #100 covers that came out in July were ing horrible.

But they aren't in a 9.9 slab, are they? :baiting:

I was hinting at giving that book a 9.9 was just luck rather than actual grade.

9.9 or 10.0 = CGC's feels like giving you an x-mas present.

As stated its a really nice 9.8.

You know I saw this book raw sitting on their back wall for sometime and never thought to buy it because I own a 9.8 SS. I guess they finally decided to get it graded. :pullhair:

Don't beat yourself up my friend.

If you re-sub any 9.9 or 10.0 I think you would be surprised how often they would only come back 9.8. ;)

So even if you bought that WD #27 there is a good chance that you probably would have only gotten a 9.8 if you subbed it.

I have seen in my hand 2 WD #1 CGC 9.9's, and nothing about them screamed out amazing. There were slight flaws that should have kicked them out of 9.9 grade designation easily. 9.9/10.0's while of course nice books could easily swing to the 9.8 scale on a different grading day.

On post-1980 books CGC has really graded a decent amount of new 9.9's on copper and moderns books in the past 12 months (just look at the Comic Link auctions, especially Bane #1). I actually think CGC should (seems they are as of 2012) give out more 9.9's because there are a lot of beautiful 9.8's that absolutely embarrass other 9.8's of that same issue but yet get the same grade..

It is my personal opinion that CGC might finally understand giving out more 9.9's and 10.0's opens up new money markets and collector's buying impulses.
