I am done trying to win any, outbid on 5 different ones today and even the kind of crummy ones are now going for skyhigh amounts.

If the guys buying multiples think they are making a smart investment, I don't see anymore upside. These things are already very high and i'm sure some of the bidding is because it's for charity.

Yup... if you think about it purely from the collector / fan aspect there are current and no doubt upcoming full splash pages that could be easily secured for the prices of one or in some cases a few of these. The cause is a huge and worthy factor here

Brendan, I was able to pick one up the last week, albeit mine was one of the "less desirable ones," but hey... 1) I liked it, 2) I wanted one and 3) It didn't break the bank. There's a lot of them left, so it's too early for you to throw in the towel!

I agree with you to an extent HR. Do I see any upside in my purchase as an investment? Probably not! I doubt it'll get me any money if I ever wanted to flip it, but maybe the individual(s) purchasing multiple ones doesn't feel the same way. I don't think someone would spend that much money just to have multiples in their collection (though it's possible a hardcore TWD fan would do that), and I assume he/she might be thinking of the resell value and banking on a payday!

 

At the prices the more desirable ones have been ending though, I just don't see people paying much more if they hit the secondary market. However, with TWD as hot it has been, maybe that won't be the case. We'll hafta wait and see...

Looks like you can get any of them now for under $100 a pop and some even as Sig Series copies.
