SOLD!! OUT OF THE SHADOWS #8 : scarce pre-code horror decapitation cover

I have a copy of OUT OF THE SHADOWS #8, a scarce and desirable pre-code horror decapitation / shrunken head cover. Tough to locate and one of the top pre-code covers, one of the most lurid of the 1950s... published by Standard Comics in 1953.

 

It's a Good to Very Good copy with general overall wear and no major defects. Chip out of bottom front cover, small (1/4") top spine split, cover and centerfold are still attached. No writing or arrival date.

Not "scarce" by Overstreet standards, but a tough book to locate in any grade.

it rarely comes up for sale. If i was not on hiatus, I'd have nailed it.

Not scarce...but tough in grades approaching fine or better.

It's always been a 2 to 3 times guide book

 

I've personally owned and sold over 5 copies of this book in the last 10 years.

I was tempted to keep the nicest copy I had, but sold it at WW Philly a few years ago to Richard Evans
