Train to Greektown Friday night dinner

We are putting together a list of all who would like to take the train to the Greektown dinner at Venus on Friday. The post will be updated with a meet time and location before Thursday.

How late does the train run Fri evening? I imagine we may need to call for a cab to get back to our hotel in the boonies of Des Plaines. :cool:

Transit directions from the convention site.

 

Service run by Chicago Transit Authority

 

5 minute walk from convention site to the Rosemont Station

 

Depart Rosemont

Arrive UIC-Halsted

 

It's a 5 minute walk down S. Peoria Street to W. Jackson.

 

Total travel time is around 1 hour.

 

For those looking to drive it is a 16 mile drive down 90 East. With traffic that could be 2 hours on a Friday evening.

It's probably 30 minutes or more by cab. We cabbed into downtown last year at 10 pm and it took 40 minutes. One way.
