Folded Comic. How would it grade?

Just for yucks.

I have a copy of Incredible Hulk 104 that was folded in half length ways.

It was folded with the cover on the outside of the fold so the cover looks perfect.

The back cover however has a nice crease all the way down from top to bottom.

Only the last couple of pages show any signs of the fold as well.

What is the highest this book would grade with this flaw, assuming everything else was perfect?

I'd guess 4.5/5.0, assuming as you say that the front is nice and the crease on the back isn't excessively heavy.

If the book is really nice with only a book length back cover crease it will grade a 6.5

If I bought a book as a 6.5 and found a sub crease through the back, I'd be returning it in a hurry.

I have an ASM #150 that was folded in half,would have been a 9.6 easy without the fold and came back a 5.0.

Absolutely. He said the fold affects only the back cover. If it affected the whole book then yes, it would be a 4.5/5.0 for sure.
