Dave Mckean commission From San Diego comic-con

I have been waiting quite a while for a Dave Mckean commission. They had gone up since 2006. But I actually got on Mr. Mckeans commission list. I had to wait until sunday afternoon a 3 P.M. and pay 800.00 dollars. It was worth the wait and the 800 I spent.

The painting is quite large. 11 by 17. the entire framed piece is 18 by 24

And I'm always curious if secretly the artist is relieved when not asked to do his "signature" character, in McKean's case Death or Morphius.

I don't think dave really cares infact he said that death and dream were easier. but I think he liked the challenge

I was told that he doesn't like to do Batman or Joker and that my best chance at getting anything would be to request something from SANDMAN. Or cats.

Dave actually did a joker at san diego this year but it was 400 more than regular commissions.
