Sorry bob, been busy uploading other books all nite and checking on and off of here... I REALLY wish this board had a option of an email alert whenever someone posts on here!? They tell you your pm's but not when reply's to your threads are here!?? Strange!?

I use Firefox, and I'm not sure if its the browser I'm using or a glitch with the UBBtheads software, but I don't always see the flashing "new PM" icon. Maybe that's what he's referring to...

If you remain logged on for a long time, like 24-48 hours with a browser up, the flashing pm icons no longer appear. You'll sometimes catch an almost invisible flash when you change threads, but otherwise, no new flashing pm icon will appear.

I'm talking about POSTS TO THREADS! NOT pm's!

Let's use a 'for example':

I started this Thread right here for my 181. When someone posts a reply i have NO idea they did or have unless i keep visiting or clicking the refresh button on here!

My car club forum (www.3si.org) has the option for whenever someone replys to a thread (You suscribe to) you get an email letting you know. Also in that email it gives you the option to stop recieveing emails for that specific thread if you want.

 

That's what i'm talking about :)

I searched on here for about 2 hours trying to find that... couldn't... I DO however have the 'email me when pm is sent to me' tho.
