Musty Smell Comics?

26 posts in this topic

Unless you're fighting something truly disgusting, just opening your stinky comics to the cf and leaving them open (Someplace safe, say a nice dry dark spare bedroom or basement or such) and letting them air out for a couple weeks should take care of most musty smells. If you're fighting something worse this will help, but won't solve the original cause.

the major reason why I buy tradepaperbacks, essentials, showcases and Omnibuses. I cannot stand the smell of old 1970`s and 1980`s moldy musty comics.

I hate to break the news to you but they are not safe either. I purchased two trades from the late eighties and one just musty old garage smell. The other is like a physical assault just from merely opening the book.
