In reality it is probably what kept it from grading higher.

And is it just me or is that "Professionally Pressed " logo fugly?

 

Not to mention potentionaly inaccurate of how the book was pressed, I would think a simple disclaimer in the auction description noting the book was Professionally pressed might better serve Brent.

If I'm not mistaken, that's a NOD thing. Marnin has them on his site along with little icons that say Enhancement Free.

Yeah, I had seen them before, I was just thinking it really seems corny on such a big auction to have a little logo like that as the means of disclosure. I wonder if people looking even know what it means, and if they do know, do they think the book was pressed like the book is in the logo? Which it may very well have been, but it also may not have been. I know it's just a silly logo, it all just seems more un proffesional then proffesional imho.

 

And I probably should have just PM'ed Brent my opinion as I am in no way trying to crahp on the auction.

So the CGC 8.5 went for $114K on ComicConnect the other night. So now, does anyone think this bad boy is going to go higher than you all originally expected?

$118,977 in fact...but given the tanning on BC and COW pages... I would guess around $70k-$75k
