Wow. I just watched a beautiful documentary on KQED about two savants, one a musician, one an artist. I highly recommend checking it out. Then go to artists website here

http://www.stephenwiltshire.co.uk/drawings.aspx and check out his work. I want to own one of his pieces but his prices are ahem...out of my range by at least one zero.

 

I am dumbfounded.

Incredible. Savants really make you wonder about the capabilities of the human brain. It's actually quite humbling. For everything that those of us who are "normal"(and I use that term loosely) have and are capable of, we could never achieve or excel in any one area to the extent that someone like Stephen Wiltshire has.
