Alright... some new blood to this forum. I just got my first Goon issue today via eBay. It's a #1 from Avatar (and it was costly). Man I love this book! After not having collected in over 10 years I have tried so hard to restore my fervor for comics but was unable to do so reading the run-of-the-mill X-Men and Spiderman stuff. After reading Goon, I am now hooked. I ordered issues Dark Horse issues 1-32 today and can't wait to get them.

TJ was the the covers 50/50? My store had the Jon Schnepp cover marked variant and was charging more.....

No, the Schnepp cover was a "real" variant.

Yeah, I thought I had read that originally the covers were 50:50, but I was apparently mistaken.

 

My LCS got one copy of the variant and it was a 9.2 at best.

As far as I know, Eric doesn't have any SDCC exclusive offerings this year. I could most certainly be wrong, but I haven't heard of anything like the SDCC sketchbook from last year.

I haven't been following this thread or book closely for the last year or so, just buying, reading, and filing each issue. But now I see the book has officially exploded, $305 for a 9.6 Avatar #1, wow. So I dug this up in my Outlook Notes. While I went through my initial Goon frenzy I tracked ebay sales. Dethklok vs Goon just picked up two variants at cover price
