Primer #2 ???

Saw a Primer #2 (first Grendel) for sale (NM) for $69.99. Does anyone think this is a good deal? I wonder if the cvalue for this book will increase? Any ideas?

for a book that is listed as "scarce", i see more NM/MT copies of this book than any other "scarce" book. i think ed koch has a stack of them, he usually lists them on eBay.

Yeah, he's the one selling them (has two copies for sale). Nice looking books though. I really liked the regular series. Can't remember who the artist was, but had some great artwork.

The artist in question is Matt Wagner. I purchased a nice copy at WizardWorld Chicago this past summer for $35. On a whim, I sent it to CGC to have it graded along with 4 other books. I'll post a scan when I have time. $70 sounds reasonable if it's really NM.

Comico overprinted this book and also printed extra covers that were sent to stores as a sort of flyer.It predated the indy explosion so the numbers were not very high.With all of that, I believe the book has some growth to it and would say go for it, if you like the storyline.It is one of my favorites from that era.
