That was auctioned off in the last All Star auction. Comes from the collection of squarebound king Bill Howard. Sold for just under $1200 with the juice!

This is probably the ugliest book in my collection but also one of my

very favorite. In my experience it is by far the rarest Disney comic ever

published (Overstreet lists 5 known copies). I'd never seen one offered

for sale until I finally got this (at 15x guide) last year. If anyone knows

of other copies I'd be very intested in hearing from you.

That's not a Dell...it's a Fawcett! And 324 pages, for cryin' out loud! It's the PC Shopper of comics! The yellow pages of funnybooks! Great cover, too!

HKP: That is awesome! So that's issue 4 of WDC&S ? It's some sort of promo edition sent to subscribers of MM Magazine when that title folded? What's the story behind it's rarity?

I think he's talking about the merry xmas squarebound 9.8 dell but that fawcett is sweet too. Don't think I've ever seen that before.

I have not been able to find any information about this book beyond the

notes in the Overstreet guide. All I know is that I've owned multiple copies

of every rare Disney comic and this is by far the most difficult to find. I'd

be very interested in more information/speculation anyone might provide.

The bottom of the back cover is shown below if it can provide any clues.

...and got this one cheap cause of the chunk out of the cover. Still, I think this one's less obtrusive than that famous "G+" Action #1...

Zonk: I love Sheldon Mayer..!! Everything by him is gold, IMHO...heck, even low-grade Sugar and Spikes are tough to come by, and the stories are great.

 

Greggy: The TT #13 is a beaut... I have that ish as well, somewhere... *Just noticed the "Cardy Soup" can in the LLC - kewl beans!
