Are you on a broadband connection?

Because scanning should definitely not take as long as it has for you tonight.

I got three generations of scanners and my dedicated Canon scanner is definitely faster than the rest of them and the right usb 2.0 cable plugged into a usb 2.0 connection makes all the difference.
