I saw this in Scoop about Tom Gordon going to visit Edgar Church's old house and wanted to share.

I bought a Mile High Church copy (I believe) of Plastic Man #10 way back in '78 or '79 sometime. It was the famous "Green Football Game Cover" in which Plas is taking on the entire opposing team by himself, which is made up of criminals of course. Picked it up in at San Diego Con.....for just under $100. It was beautiful !! Only Mile High book I've ever owned.

 

Wish I had more foresight........I'd still have that book today. :(

how much did chuckles pay for the collection?

A buck a book?Thats what I remember anyway.

 

My recollection is about $0.10 / book, as noted by r1970d... (I think it the story & price per book is on the Mile High web site, iirc...)
