I have 1500+ great vintage comic books, many Golden Age

from a fantastic find Krypton Comics in Omaha made this summer

here in Nebraska some 30 miles from where the fabled legendary

Lamont Larson collection was uncovered back in the early 1970s.

 

This was a one owner collection of husband and wife.

The paper is white on most of these well-preserved gems.

It would behoove you to check out some scarce fun stuff i currently offer.

Hi Arex,

Thanks for the kind words. I am hanging in there, like many other folks in the country and around the world. Got much to be thankful for as both my daughters and i are getting along well at the same time lately, but i have not yet gotten the bucks raised to get over to India and get my hip joints replaced at something like 15% the cost of the USA quotes i was getting.

 

Can't walk well any more, had to cut way back on my comics activities for some time now. All my comics research projects now on hiatus for a spell until i conquer the present adversity of deteriorating cartilage in the hip joints.

 

I am still picking up nice stuff - and some of the 50,000 comic books here are reflected in the eBay store. I will be placing some PhotoBucket front & back cover samples here shortly.

Nice 1951 Simon & Kirby pre-code horror classic:

 

 

The only Buffalo Bil with a pure horror motiff - and this one from 1952 is ultra-cool:

 

 

Roy Crane was a seminal comics creator, his art wonderful and very fluid,

advancing the adventure genre long before others such as Buck Rogers, Phantom, etc.

This special first issue was published by Hawley in 1939:

 

 

and this next sample is #13 from 1948

A fun Alex Schomburg cover signed Xela

along with a light dust shadow which

does not go into the book

 

 

Captain Atom was first invented in this scarce unique 1951 monthly 5¢ series from Nationwide

 

 

and some years later, Steve Ditko completely re-invented the character for Charlton:

 

 

Another great SImon & Kirby classic 1948 series was Charlie Chan from Prize:

 

 

And i always work at having a supply of mid-to-high grade Carl Barks Ducks, as he remains

one of my all-time favorite comics story tellers with superb stories and fantastic art.

This Donald Duck Dell Four Color #199 from 1948 is high grade with almost white paper.

 

 

along with a decent supply of pre-code crime comics such as:

 

 

and i pick up Quality Comics Group books when ever i can

- one of my favorite Golden Age companies

- the had the best artists like Lou Fine in the early stuff,

fantastic Reed Crandall, on the other hand, worked steady

such as this 1949 gem of a book

almost till the demise of this company in 1956

- and then DC leased/bought all the properties:

 

 

 

Rare obscure Fiction House titles are always a favorite here,

another of my favorite Golden Age companies, this #1 science fiction ish from 1950:

 

 

One of the highest-demand Jerry Lewis issues is this Flash cross-over issue,

this #112 has white paper - it's eye-candy appeal almost overwhelming:

Neal Adams Bronze in High Grade is always a Favorite around these parts:
