Faust liability problem?

7 posts in this topic

Guys and Gals,

You too greggy......

I was poking through the warehouse this morning and found a

small stash of Faust. Anyone think there would be a liability

problem with selling them on EBAY or Yahoo???

Definitely an adult oriented theme, blood, guts, wild sex,,,,,,

wait, is this a Marvel Razorline title?????

Seriously, I wouldn't want a 12 year old impressionable little

cherub to bid and win, and have his indignant parents blow a

cork at me.......

Thoughts, advice, or..........have I been spending too much time

in the Goldenage section.....

Prudish Phil

just post in the item description, buyer must be over the age of 18 and must have proof. but i'm sure most comic geeks are over 18 anyway if they remember that book. besides, who wants to read a comic book with sex and nudity when they can just surf porn over the internet. gossip.gif893whatthe.gifthumbsup2.gifforeheadslap.gif

I don't recall if that series was Comics Code Authority approved, my guess is that it wasn't, but for books that are CCA approved I use that as the test of whether it's okay for the general public.

I would insert a disclaimer in the auction text saying something like "This item is intended for mature readers only. Regardless of country of residence the winning bidder is required to certifiy, either through direct email or Ebay correspondence, that they are 18 years or older with no exceptions"

I don't know if that would stand up to a serious legal challenge, but that's what I put in when I list adult type items (my most recent example was a set of Razor books)
