Ultra High Grade Avengers Assemble on PedigreeComics.com!!

Pedigree Comics is the place to be this weekend as President and CEO Doug Schmell has announced the upcoming listing of an incredible consignment of Silver and Bronze Age Avengers in CGC certified ultra high grade (mostly 9.4 with a bunch of 9.6's and a few 9.2's and a 9.0) . The listing will take place starting on Friday afternoon and will last over the weekend (until Sunday) and consists of 40 issues starting with the only book graded below VF/NM, a 7.0 copy of Avengers #1, and goes up into the early hundreds. There will be a separate run of issues in the hundreds (all in 9.6 and 9.8) next week.

 

Most of the issues below #20 are in certified 9.2 while almost every one above #23 is in 9.4 or 9.6 (plus one in 9.8). The run (save for the #1, which is from a different collection) was put together by a passionate Avengers collector who only wanted NM- or better books and off-white or better pages. The only book in the run graded less than a 9.2 is perhaps the toughest one to get in ultra high grade (the #9) and that is a beautiful White Mountain copy. In addition, none of the books (save for 2) have less than off-white pages (again, other than the #1). Here are some of the highlights from the listing:

Avengers has been and continues to be the single hottest Marvel title and this run offers old and new collectors the chance to fill some holes in their high grade runs and to upgrade on lesser certified copies. All 40 issues will be available to buy and bid upon on the Pedigree Comics website (www.PedigreeComics.com) in the New Arrivals section starting on Friday at approximately 2:00.
