OK; Thanks for the advice. I don't know how well this picture will turn out, but here's the deal:

 

I just joined the boards; I have been reading up for the past couple of weeks. I've been reading up on this sub-forum and I'm starting to get an idea of what makes something very high, but I can't really tell what the minor defects mean. I don't think my eye is very well trained. Anyway, I have the full Watchmen set that I bought myself and put straight into bags with boards. They've never been read, but in scanning them in I can already see several small defects. I am including #1, which unfortunately is probably the worst of the set. I'm going to be as critical as I can to get the best input from the experts.

 

On the bottom left cover corner you can see a very small tear. In the scan I think it looks like there is a bend on the top right corner but that is not true. The rest of the corners are all pretty perfect. There is a very small crease on the front above the top staple. Other than that the cover looks pretty perfect to me.

 

The back cover has a line going straight down to the left of the spine. It looks like it came that way and has something to do with the actual printing. There is also a weird squiggly line on the top left which also looks like it's always been there. Just above and to the right of the clock there are two small white spots and a tiny crease or two in the spine. I scanned this at my highest resolution but my printer is old and the cover being black probably doesn't help.

 

Please let me know if it is helpful to also scan in the rest of them. Thanks for all the help!

Welcome to the boards.... You might want to try using Photo Bucket to host the images. You can join for free. Or have a paid account. There you can scan the books, re size them. Then you can put the images on this board.... BTW The links are not working...

Done and done (thumbs u . It is a bit of tough book to grade from those scans... But I will say 9.0 IMHO..
