I kinda like Staton. Thoughts?

 

On these covers I think he was helped by Giordano's inks. And in general I thought he did well with the help of a strong inker. His JSA work inked by Bob Layton was also very good, even though he had the bad luck to follow Wally Wood on that strip.

 

I didn't care for much for his GL run, much of which was Staton pencilling & inking. And most of his Legion stories were pretty unmemorable, with the exception of the Mordru issue Silver posted last week-- as I recall, that one was inked by Murphy Anderson, so once again the inker makes all the difference, imho.
