I read an article long ago about someone who used to do this with real covers. I forget how many covers per piece he required but in the article he said he once did a Daredevil 158 and cut up many original covers to do it.

Ouch!!! That would be a big hurt.

 

No, we dont use the actual covers. We print out in color at various sizes from scans so that we can make the various layers that give the art its 3D effect.
