We have been busy uploading 100s more classic vintage comic books into our eBay store from the Platinum Era to Gold Silver Bronze Comic Books because i cannot easily get to all the shows so many of you used to see me at for decades since my first comicon in Houston back June 1967; I have sold at every single San Diego Comicon since #1 Summer 1970. Opened my first comic book store in 1972 with some friends. What a long strange trip it has been.

 

I have badly damaged hip joints impacted in a van accident many moons ago in dire need of replacement. They kind of snapped a couple years back, and now it is crunch time.

 

I ask every one in comics fandom to check out my eBay store, if you like something in there, no reasonable offer refused, to buy a book from me in the next couple weeks, if you can swing it. I know these economic times have befallen most of us out there. I trust every one reading these words is hanging in there.

We are setting up at Javits and Moscone in February. My kids are driving my two tons of working convention stock to both shows. I will be there - using two canes these days to keep the upper body weight off hip joints now crumbling.

 

I am gearing up right after Wondercon San Fran (27 Feb-March 1) to fly over to India to finally obtain the first of two operations hideously expensive in the USA. Comparatively inexpensive in India at approximately 20% of the cost. I am told $12-$15 K side in India, versus $60-$100K per side in America.

- A Little Bit of Low Grade

- White Paper or Off-White Paper notates paper quality under search for those who collect their comics that way. This is how i prefer to collect. I would rather have white paper with a few spine bends than a "perfect" looking book with tanning paper. The WP copy will last and hold its condition for decades longer if kept in the proper atmosphere, which is what i do here.

Hi Mark,

I am looking forward to seeing once again a great many friends, and hopefully making new ones as well. It is now T-Minus & Counting getting stuff ready, shaving out stuff to cut from 100 boxes to 60-65 or so- less some times is more, less daunting to flip thru, save on gas, expansion plans once i get fixed. Had family to see to, learning to cope with being damaged, full speed ahead. Motto for us all is never give up. A new day dawning in America soon.
