Check out this guys supposed "service" for getting your comics graded:

The website is kinda crappy, but go down to the CGC SPECIAL ORDERS/SERVICES and click it.

 

I assume is he just pre-screening what you send him before it goes to CGC, but is it also implied that he is restoring them too?

He's not doing any restoration that CGC can detect, maybe just a little pressing--if even that. I don't really know what he does. I asked him for details, and he gave me a few, but not much specific. I think more than anything else he's selling his ability to grade comics and pick books that will return those desirable 9.8 and higher grades from CGC...just a bit of salesmanship aimed at newer collectors.

 

This was discussed in the forum before a while ago, I think earlier this year.

Ahh, thanks FF. I didn't realize this had come up before. This guy only recently came under my radar, and he lives only an hour away from me.

He should really make an overview page or something. I've plugged through the site for 15 minutes and still can't really figure out what it's all about.
