So, it's getting close to that time! What's the word on the dinner deal?

Myself, and 2 other forumites will be staying at the Crowne Plaza... wish I could have found the room for $100! But, I am with a "high Roller" so I am not worried :baiting:

Looking forward to the show! Had to miss the last 2 due to health and other obligations... the guys made sure I am going this time around. I have the room booked and am scheduled to drive... looks like I am on the hook!

See y'all there!

John

My posse will be leaving before Sat. dinner in Seattle. We plan to go all out with our $2 salmon and fries dinner at the Angels Casino on Indian reserve and get discount gas there too.

Were you able to get that 3rd wheel, greggy, to sleep on the floor at the Crowne? :roflmao:

So, I miscounted my weekends and it turns out I'm on duty that weekend. I should be able to pull some strings but I'm postponing booking my hotel :(

If everything goes right though I would definitely be down for dinner. Preferably Saturday night as I'm hitting the road as soon as I'm done with the con on Sunday. I wanna get home and marvel at my schwag. Not to mention work starts early on Monday.

17 days and counting! :headbang:

For our buddies coming over from Canada, not sure how you're looking to come over but if you go to Clipper Vacations and aren't scared of coming over by means of boat, you can score some good package deals on fare and hotel.

As for dinner, I hate to say that I am not that familiar with any good dining in the area of the convention - what say you JazzMan?

:gossip: JazzMan, I have not forgotten about bringing your comic display frames with me. ;)

EDIT: If you choose to come over via boat, I assume no liability for sinking ships, missing luggage, pirates, sea sickness, giant squid attacks, sharks, rabid mermaids or any number of other dangers commonly associated with water travel or anything else bad that might happen to you. If you play the lottery on the boat and win, I am however entitled to a 50% share.

The area around the convention center is crawling with nice restaurants, but my fave in the area is the Cheesecake Factory. For those who have never been there, cheesecake is only one of their dessert specialties, they have wonderful food. If we have enough people signed up maybe we can have a reserved area for us. The restaurant is conveniently located a block or two from the convention center on the corner of Pike and 7th, so if you've got your car parked at the convention center you don't have to take it out and look for new parking.

What say you all?

P.S.

DT, glad you remembered about the display frames, with all the excitement about ECCC, I had totally forgotten and probably have remembered once I hit the convention floor.

Cheesecake Factory hm Yeah, never been there and it sounds dangerous...let's do it! lol Good it is so close to the convention center. Last year's show was pretty good and I had a good time walking around the city. Seattle :cloud9:

ECCC has added about 15,000 feet of space for this year and now that the show isn;t going to fall on Mother's Day, I'm hoping for a big turn out. Either way, I plan on having a good time :headbang:
