Does CGC offer restoration services on submitted coverless comics?

Like the subject line says - does CGC offer restoration services through a sub-contractor?

 

I received an email from an ebay buyer of mine that work such as cover recreations can be done through CGC then slabbing and grade the books for $58.50?

 

This sounds like BS, but I thought I would ask.

I don't see why CGC would provide any restoration services. They're here to grade and do restoration checks, not doctor books.

I agree, but I wanted to ask the question just to be sure. I think the gentleman was confusing the submission to CGC from a third party after restoration work had been performed with CGC doing the work themselves.

 

Still would like to know if any one knows this Jacob Newton person...
