DVD Watchmen!

No need to read it now that you bought that motion comic disc. Just watch and enjoy! (thumbs u

Andy

I started watching it last night. I got through the first 5 chapters so far.

I don't know if I'm just jaded or what but I'm not seeing the "masterpiece" that everyone's so crazy over. (shrug)

I'm finding it a little contrived and VERY dated like I'm watching Heavy Metal or something. zzz

I must say though that I'm REALLY keen on the format and am enjoying the whole "production" of the thing.

Not sure I care to see the movie though until it gets released on DVD. (shrug)

Keep going. It gets better.

I didn't care much for it at first, but kept reading and was glad I did.

When I read it when I was 14, I was blown away.

Rereading it at 31, I got so bored I didnt finish it...

I think its time has sort of come and gone.. It spawned a more serious era of comic writing, that in turn sort of obsoleted it.

I've been rereading the original , thanks to a gift TPB from a boardie here,

I've never been that "deep" of a thinker, and I don't remember being impressed

20 years ago when I read the series, and having finished rereading, I'm still

not that impressed. Maybe it's just me, but I actually enjoyed Gilgamesh II

more.
